Coronavirus Update 22/07/20

To all our loyal customers thank you for your continued support and patience during the past few months. We are grateful for you waiting patiently to safely enter our shop, for keeping your distance and respecting our rules.

We have another request to ask of you all... Please help us by following the new Government Guidelines which will be law as of FRIDAY 24th JULY 2020.

We need you to ensure that you have a face covering on before entering our shop so we do not have to turn you away. (Children under the age of 11 are exempt from this law.) A face covering according to HMRC needs to cover your mouth and nose securely. It can be a mask, shield, scarf etc but must fit safely against the side of the face.

We are bound as a retail business to uphold this Law so please allow us to continue to serve you and help keep everyone safe.

It was reported by Mr Deputy Speaker on HMRC online that:

"Sadly, sales assistants, cashiers and security guards have suffered disproportionately in this crisis.The death rate of sales and retail assistants is 75% higher among men, and 60% higher among women than in the general population. So as we restore shopping, so we must keep our shopkeepers safe."

We are sorry if you do not agree with how we are dealing with things but we are being extra vigilant in protecting our colleagues, and ultimately our customers.

If you are Exempt from wearing a face covering we can offer you alternative ways to be served to help keep everyone safe. We can offer;

  • arranging a prepaid collection
  • personal shopper while you wait in your vehicle
  • delivery to your home
  • or we will give you a time slot between 4-5pm Mon-Frid to shop when other customers are not present and we have fewer staff on duty.

Finally thank you again for your understanding, these are truly challenging times but as always we are here to serve our community.

Celebrating 70 years in DIY supplies

We are an established name in the local business community and the areas leading name in Timber and Sheet material sales. If you have a DIY project that's in need of supplies, we likely have what you need to get it done.

We are a family owned business which was established in 1946 and has remained at its Little London site gradually expanding to become the largest independent timber and DIY centre in the area. Originally, the company’s main trade was manufacturing boxes and pallets for the agricultural business. At the peak of manufacturing the company employed over 50 people. Today, the company employs around 25 full and part-time people, some of those have been here for over 30 years and one for 43 years. We specialise in trading with the local community but we have sent goods to both Europe and America. Our DIY shop is open 6½ days per week, we can also arrange delivery of timber purchased within a 25 mile radius of Spalding but we can go further afield if required.

We supply;
